Things I love about Rexburg/BYU-Idaho

I was just thinking how blessed I am to be attending such a wonderful, beautiful university, so I thought Id jot down some of the things that I love most about being here.
1.      President Clark- I know that it is kind of goofy, but I truly love this wonderful man. He is such a source of inspiration in my life. He represents success and humility toward the will of the Lord. He was the dean at Harvard Business School, but came to Idaho to preside over the students here. I appreciate him so much for his example.
2.      The cold weather- Also a little strange, but I have always loved the cold. Granted, that it is a little annoying when my nose hairs freeze and my hair freezes when I am walking to and from activities. Or when my cheeks turn bright red and I forget my gloves. None the less, I love getting home from classes and snuggling up in a blankie with some hot coca and doing homework or staying in a campus building all day not wanting to leave. For some reason- I love it. (Today the low was -1. Can’t wait for more. Bring it on!)
What I usually feel like walking to the Smith building at 7:30 AM

3.      The BYUI center- I adore this place. The spirit is always so strong in that building. I suspect that it stems from all the sacrifices from tithing that went into building this wonderful structure. There are lots of comfy couches and chairs to work in or sleep in. Devotionals are simply fantastic every week, and the artwork in that building never ceases to brighten my day.

4.      Enthusiastic Christmas-ites- This campus literally glows in the Christmas season. Enormous wreaths go up on every single building, as well as dozens of Christmas trees, lights (thank you Mountain Pines Apartments), and garlands. Not to mention the people just shine in the season. There are so many smiles (despite the chattering teeth), and helping hands.
Ignore the fact that santa is holding Coca Cola...

5.      The Hart Gym- This has recently become one of my fondest blessings. I never really loved the gym, but this semester has been truly wonderful in that regard. The trainers there are always willing to help you out or give you tips. Then on a personal note, I have achieved fitness goals that I never expected to achieve this semester which has truly blessed my life
I just love these girls so much! (And Harry too)

6.      The Spirit of Ricks- I love being on a campus where the Holy Ghost is so very strong everywhere I go. This has been by far the greatest thing that could have happened to me. I have grown and learned so much spiritually and mentally while attending this fantastic university. I attribute that all to the Spirit which is present on this campus.
