HAIR CUTS

I know everyone says they love em, but Haircuts have a truly special place in my heart. There is probably nothing comparable to getting a haircut when it comes to simple life pleasures.
*(Although I can certainly think of some contenders- New socks and underwear, cool sheets in the summertime, long fluffy grass and no wind, eating fresh strawberries with cream, the smell of "Tahiti Sweetie" lotion, a good, fast run, consistently winning Metal of Honor against far better players (namely my brothers) and ice cold lemonade on a hot afternoon, new deodorant, standing up while wakeboarding, fluffy kittens or puppies, singing musicals in the shower or car, swinging really high on the swings, or jumping really high on the trampoline, someone who smiles really big when they see you because they are legitimately excited and happy to see you, getting any kind of mail (Thank you Discover Card for sending me weekly advertisements- you rock), phone calls from friends who just want to chat, baby calves, skipping down a sidewalk with headphones on, finishing a huge crocheting or knitting project, when people compliment me on my hair, movie quotes, those special songs that you can always count on for a good time, country, cha cha, foxtrot, waltzing, swing and modern dancing,  and the laughs of each of my family members. These are just to name a few of my favorite things).
That was quite a list, but getting a haircut is definitely one of my all-time favorite things. Firstly you just sit in a comfy chair while someone plays with your hair- something that is magical all by itself. And I don't know about anyone else, but I always feel ten times prettier after a good haircut. I feel like everyone must secretly notice how great my hair looks. Whether or not this is true, I have no idea, but I will continue to think that. The next time I have to do my hair in the morning, everything tends to cooperate more than usual as well, which is quite the blessing for someone like me with unruly hair :).
This time I just got a little trim, but I couldn't be happier. Life is Good!
